I finished my first baby hat on Friday!! It was the first one in the book which was meant to be simple. It only took two afternoons to finish it. I made the whole thing on double-pointed needles instead of circular needles to the decrease section because I couldn't find 16" circular needles in Size 8 that I had a coupon for. I did end up finding some at Joann which I had a coupon for but I had to spend a little more than I thought because they only had bamboo ones and no Boye ones. I will let you know how they work. Here are some pictures of that the hat!
I don't have a baby to model them so they just have to sit. I used Sweet Delight Yarn from Hobby Lobby which matched the blanket I had made a couple weeks ago using the Sunny Baby Blanket pattern. Here's my blanket:
Note- it hasn't been blocked and the ends aren't weaved in yet

The Beginning
I started this blog to showcase my knitting including the patterns and yarns I used and the struggles I had. I'm 16 and have been knitting for 3 years. I was luckily to be taught by my Grandma while I was visiting her and my Aunt in Colorado. While on vacation in South Haven we stopped in this knitting shop, Needle in a Haystack, and found this great book, Itty Bitty Hats by Susan B. Anderson, and I decided to start this blog as I work my way through this book and other things I make along the way. In between times I will post about things I have made in the past. I'm so glad that you are going through this journey with me. Better start gathering my supplies to start my first project in this book. I'm not sure how long it will to take to make it but don't worry I won't forget about you!!
